You can purchase the single-site license, and if you need to upgrade it, you can pay the difference between your current tier and your desired upgrade tier. When your subscription renews automatically, you'll be billed at the regular yearly rate for your new subscription tier.
To upgrade your current subscription tier, login to your account and navigate to the Manage Subscriptions screen in your account. Your existing product subscription license keys will be listed there. Click the "Manage" button for the subscription you want to renew.
All of our products are sold as yearly subscriptions. As long as your subscription remains active, you can access plugin downloads, new feature releases, security updates, bug fixes, and premium support.
The "There has been a critical error on this website." is a generic error message provided by WordPress, but it doesn't show what exactly is causing the issue.
Please follow the steps documented at https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/how-to-enable-debugging-in-wordpress/ to enable the WordPress debug mode, which should show a more detailed error message to help us understand what should be causing your issue.
Once the debug is enabled, please navigate to that same page, take a screenshot showing the error message, and send it here.

If you don't have a license, no worries, but please submit your question to the appropriate community forum instead:
The Events Calendar - https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/the-events-calendar/
Event Tickets - https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/event-tickets/
Our support team reviews that forum weekly to check for bug reports. If you need more in-depth support, you must purchase a license.
